The new year is in full swing

Hello everyone!!! It has been awhile since I have posted anything. I am not really into this type of thing yet. So anyways. Dan has been working a lot. I have been working third shift. It really isn't too bad, it just messes with my internal clock!! LOL

I will be taking my state boards exam soon. I am very nervous, but excited at the same time. I have talked to several of my classmates and they have passed. I would hate to be the first one to fail!!! But it happens. So lets think positive here!!!! Kasi Klein, RN, doesn't that sound great! :)

Dan has been working a lot. Two days off per week, which is better than what he was getting several months ago. There store got 3rd place in there district or something like that...so they get to go out to dinner with the district manager. I think they all should be proud!! Especially the way the economy is. O O O O'Reilly!!!! LOL My dad loves saying that.

So, less than nine months left until our wedding day!!! Time is really going by pretty fast lately. I need to get busy with some of the plans still, but not doing too bad I hope. We will be getting married at St. Mary/St. Patrick in West Burlington. This is where I used to attend church while I was growing up. Dan used to attend church in Ft. Madison, also catholic. We were both raised catholic to a certain point, and both were never confirmed. So, I have been going to confirmation class on Wed evening. This has been very interesting. Kind of brings back a lot of memories from parish religous education while I was growing up. Confirmation mass will be March 15th. Then father Stinely is supposed to talk to us about our marriage. So, I am hoping all the wedding plans that deal with the church will all fall into place!!!

Well...like I said before..I am not really too good at this yet. Need to post more often. So I will try to do better. Until next time, LOVE YA ALL!!!!!! :)

Christmas 2008

Christmas has come and gone. Time sure flies when you are having fun!! We had a busy time. I finally am done with school. Finished on the 17th. We were supposed to have our nursing pinning ceremony on the 19th, but due to icy weather, it was cancelled. Our whole class was very dissapointed. What do you do??? So, instead, a few of us met at Fun City--Boogaloo Cafe and had dinner and some drinks. It was a blast. My family filled up quite a few seats. It was pretty kewl. So then on Saturday, we had the Klein xmas. It was cute. The family is really growing with lots of children. Santa was there for the little ones.
On the 22nd we had Dan's family over for our xmas get together. His brother Chad and his girlfriend Julie, came down from Cedar Rapids. They arrived at about 10 or so. Chad had to work that day until 7pm. Then, dan's parents arrived at about 11 or so. We all were getting tired, but we didn't have any other choice of days to get everyone together. It was a good time. We opened gifts and then all crashed. The next day, Dan, Julie, Chad and I played my game "Scene It" that Chad and Julie gave me. Now that was a good time!! Of course it would have been better if me and Dan actually watch movies. All of the questions are about movies. Well, we do not watch a whole lot of movies, considering we are hardly ever home at the same time. We are hoping that we can catch up on some movies..old and new...and maybe answer some of those darn questions correctly!! Anyways..we shall see.
Well, this year has really ended quickly. I am hoping we have a great 2009. We hope that both of our families STAY OUT OF THE HOSPITAL!!! That seemed to be an issue this year. I know, it happens, but still.....LOL. We are really excited that my schooling is finished. It makes things a little less stressful for the both of us. So, now on the agenda: State boards for me--nursing, and we need to do quite a bit more planning for the wedding!! YAY!!!! so, until next time......LOVE YA :)

Christmas time!!!

Well, christmas is near. We have been pretty busy lately with trying to get presents bought and wrapped, and also trying to keep the little brat cat out of the tree. One morning, we found the tree on the floor. What a site to wake up to. After the presents started to accumulate under the tree, it was much easier to keep the cat from bothering it. So all is well for now.

Dan has been by my side through all of my schooling, and I am finally done!!! YEAH!! He has been very supportive. I am not sure why he wouldn't scream some days, although I am sure he wanted to. There is no way I could have done this schooling without the support that I had from my whole family and all of my friends. I feel like I have abandoned some people, but I guess I am hoping that they understand.

So, WE WISH EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Be safe, and enjoy the holiday season.

Hello! We had a very nice Thanksgiving. Of course, we ate too much, but everything was so delicious. I am trying to work on more plans for the wedding, it will be easier after school is done. A couple more weeks!!! Dec. 19 is our pinning ceremony at the college. I don't know how I am going to act, no more school???!!!! What ever shall I do???!!!

Well, short and sweet, see ya next time.

Love,
KASI AND DAN
