3 1/2 MONTHS TO GO!!!! : )
Well...time is flying by so quickly for us!!! We are trying to get some final planning done for the big day.
Dan has been working quite a bit of overtime lately, and I took a new job in Mt. Pleasant at Arbor Court. We have both been pretty busy. Sometimes we do not get to see each other for a couple of days. But we have been managing that pretty well.
We will be registering for gifts for the wedding here very soon. I believe we will be registering at Target, Kohl's and Younkers Home Store. We will keep everyone updated.
I also wanted to mention that we attended a wedding preparation weekend in Sigourney, IA. This was a neat experience for the both of us. I think we both agree that the time together was great and the info given to us will help us grow to be a great couple :)
We just received horrible news Thursday that one of Dan's stepsisters lost her husband. He was about 29 years old. Leaving behind his wife and 2 beautiful children. We will be thinking about the whole family.
Well...until next time......have a good one!! :)

Almost June 2009
Where does the time go? Can hardly believe it is almost June!!
I have been busy getting things planned for the wedding. Some things are coming along slowly, but I guess you will have that. My dress is taken care of and that is a big weight off my shoulders :) Also, we did meet with Father Steinle last week and we were able to get an answer about whether or not our date was available. It is available :) So we do have a church and a priest. YAY!!
We do have to attend a marriage preparation weekend in June. I know I am pretty excited about it. I am hoping it will give us some positive insight about marriage. Dan thinks that it sounds interesting too. So we shall see :)
Well I decided that I didn't have enough to do...so I chose to change jobs. I am leaving Danville Care Center and going to Arbor Court in Mt Pleasant. It is another long term care facility. I will work full time, second shift. I am pretty excited about that. I won't have to work all three shifts anymore;) Nurses are required to give a 30 days notice, so i am finishing that up right now. June 11 will be my official last day at Danville. Wish me luck :)
Well... I don't really have much else right now....so will update again soon. Maybe I will get some pictures up here!! LOL
Take care :)

March 2009
Dan and I just got back from Overland Park, Kansas. We were visiting his brother Chad and his fiancee Julie. We were able to spend 3 days down there, which went pretty fast, but it was so much fun. The rental car that we got was awesome!! It was a silver, 2008 Hyundai Sonata. Very nice car. XM radio also :) it was a nice treat for us to take down there. We made it down there without even filling up once....if we took my car...i guess we would not have been so lucky.
While we were down there, we had freezing rain early on Sat and then it changed to snow. All of us ventured out later Sat and went to Oklahoma Joe's BBQ restaurant (yummo), Best Buy, and a Whole Foods store (organic). So we were able to get around on Sat...but it was SO messy down there. They do not plow ANYTHING until the snow completely stops. Some people drive like 10mph...it is just so different down there.
On Sunday, Dan and I went to visit my aunt Mary and uncle Chuck, and cousin Claire. They live in Grandview, MO which was about 20 min away from Chad in Kansas. Chuck and Mary fixed us a steak dinner!!!! Oh was it good!! Steak, potatoes, veggie salad, french bread, and even rice krispies for dessert. Mary fixed us a goody bag of rice krispies and unfortunately we forgot them :( darn it, I am still angry about that...LOL
Sunday night...we went to Kansas City, Kansas about 20 mins from Chad's, and visited a Nebraska Furniture Mart!! It was very neat!! They have anything you could want....well almost. They do have a website that I will be checking out, because we only had 30 minutes to look around before they closed on Sunday. So feel free to google them and check them out too!!
After that, we went and took some pictures of the Kansas Speedway. We were not able to get in any of the outer gates, so I took pictures from a distant of the outside of the track and some signs. I will get those posted sometime soon :) Hopefully we can get to a race down there sometime!! After all the picture taking we went to a Dave & Buster's restaurant/gaming place. It kind of reminded me of a smaller version of the restaurant/game area of Fun City. We had a blast there!! We played some fun games with all four of us...some trivia. Of course some of the stuff they were asking we had no clue what they were talking about...but it was just fun to all have a good time!! So THEN, we ended the night with some ColdStone Creamery ice cream!!! OMG!!! It was so good! If you haven't been there before, you should check one out! I think they even said it is fat free, and low calories!!!!!!! LOL right!!!
Well, enough of the trip for now.....just wanted to post and let ya know we had a GREAT time :)

The new year is in full swing
Hello everyone!!! It has been awhile since I have posted anything. I am not really into this type of thing yet. So anyways. Dan has been working a lot. I have been working third shift. It really isn't too bad, it just messes with my internal clock!! LOL
I will be taking my state boards exam soon. I am very nervous, but excited at the same time. I have talked to several of my classmates and they have passed. I would hate to be the first one to fail!!! But it happens. So lets think positive here!!!! Kasi Klein, RN, doesn't that sound great! :)
Dan has been working a lot. Two days off per week, which is better than what he was getting several months ago. There store got 3rd place in there district or something like that...so they get to go out to dinner with the district manager. I think they all should be proud!! Especially the way the economy is. O O O O'Reilly!!!! LOL My dad loves saying that.
So, less than nine months left until our wedding day!!! Time is really going by pretty fast lately. I need to get busy with some of the plans still, but not doing too bad I hope. We will be getting married at St. Mary/St. Patrick in West Burlington. This is where I used to attend church while I was growing up. Dan used to attend church in Ft. Madison, also catholic. We were both raised catholic to a certain point, and both were never confirmed. So, I have been going to confirmation class on Wed evening. This has been very interesting. Kind of brings back a lot of memories from parish religous education while I was growing up. Confirmation mass will be March 15th. Then father Stinely is supposed to talk to us about our marriage. So, I am hoping all the wedding plans that deal with the church will all fall into place!!!
Well...like I said before..I am not really too good at this yet. Need to post more often. So I will try to do better. Until next time, LOVE YA ALL!!!!!! :)
